Day Three Begins With Wet Conditions

Sadly teams were not allowed to race at the Autodromo Hnos Rodriguez. Because of last nights rain the track could not be dried and there were large puddles of standing water. Too bad. Here in Northern California some of our best endurance racing is done while it's raining. Standing water and all. It's unfortunate the teams did not get to run this famous track.

Our good friend Othan Garcia who built and raced the beautiful black Buick with us in 2007 and 2008 explained, "Regarding the race track Hermanos Rodriguez, they were going to race only the oval and not the full race course. So maybe that is why they stoped it. In 2006 we raced the full course and it was also VERY wet so I am guessing it has to do with ovals not being very safe on wet conditions..."

Othan's beautiful Buick is being driven this year by Hilaire Damiron and co-pilotos is Manuel Iguiniz and is making a very good showing. On a side note, Othan is a hell of a competitor and is missed by all of us.

The year I drove there it was raining too. Very wet and slippery. A couple of cars that hit the wall. But it's a fun track.
Great blogging Gary, Thanks
