Bring Back GO FAST

Something everyone involved with La Carrera Panamericana looks to and enjoys is photos of the event. Over the last few years La Carrera Panamericana association hooked up with GO FAST who did am awesome job not only with the high quality photos but they were awesome at getting lots of them from numerous locations and they had them posted in the blink of an eye.

I wish I could say that was true of MexSport Online who is the official photographers for this years LCP but sadly that is not the case. Their photos are few, poor quality, few locations and if that wasn't bad enough they plaster their damn name with the biggest watermark known to man which absolutely destroys the photo. The end result is the photos are trash and nobody will be able to use them and everybody loses in the end including MexSport online.

If you want to see what an awsome example of good quality LCP photos shoule be like check out the awesome work GO FAST has done in past years CLICK HERE.

Thanks for NOTHING MexSport online! BRING BACK GO FAST!!!

Stig Blomqvist Update

I just found out that WRC World Champion Stig Blomvquist blew his engine in the #110 Studebaker on day 1 and they have either repaired or replaced it and they say he is now climbing fast to the front again. Like I said, with what little information is coming out of Mexico it's hard to know what's going on. On the other hand if he blew his engine and if that caused him to miss some stages I don't know how it's possible that he could possibly get back into it.

EDIT: I just recieved another note saying Stig was in fact running yesterday and the information about Stig blowing an engine was second hand information from another photographer. So your guess is as good as mine at this point.

Rush Hour In Mexico City

Reports are very slow coming and a friend from Go Fast told me... "The first two stages were pretty long... so there has been not really too much time to upload pictures or let the Information flow."

In the meantime he did tell me that the #108 Studebaker driven by Bill Beilharz is in 1st overall followed by the #10 Studebaker driven by Jorge Roberto Pedrero and 3rd is the #110 Studebaker of Stig Blomqvist. One Swed trying to catch two Mexicans all in Studebakers... There has just got to be a joke in there somewhere.

While we're waiting here is an awesome high-resolution photo taken by my friend Tach'O from Go Fast of the red Chevrolet #365 that raced against Jon and I last year followed by our friend Francisco Ortiz in #299 Datsun 510 as they haul the mail thru the middle of downtown Mexico City. CLICK ON PHOTO TO ENLARGE. This is the same spot where Jon and I flew along at 150 miles per hour. Talk about a rush!
